Verse from Deuteronomy

所以你要知道耶和华你的神，他是神，是信实可靠的神；他向爱他和守他诫命的人，守约并且施慈爱，直到千代。(申命记 7:9)

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

Verse from 1 Corinthians

你们应该效法我，好象我效法基督一样。(哥林多前书 11:1)

Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:1)

If we want people to imitate us, we must first imitate our Lord. If we have any reason for people to follow our example—if we have any courage to point others to the Savior—it is because of Him, not us.

Verse from Exodus

神回答：“我必与你同在；你把人民从埃及领出来的时候，你们要在这山上事奉神；这就是我派你去的凭据。”(出埃及记 3:12)

And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” (Exodus 3:12)

You need not be afraid of where you’re going when you know God’s going with you.

Verse from Psalm

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Psalm 73:26)

Verse from Psalms

My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness. (Psalms 38:5)

Only by allowing God to transform us can we overcome the foolish decisions that cause so much trouble. With His loving guidance, we can follow the pathway of godly wisdom.

Verse from Luke

他还用许多别的话劝勉众人，向他们传福音。(路加福音 3:18)

And with many other words John exhorted the people and proclaimed the good news to them. (Luke 3:18)

 Like John, may everything we say and do point others to Jesus.

Verse from 1 John

孩子们，我们爱人，不要只在言语和舌头上，总要在行动和真诚上表现出来。(约翰壹书 3:18)

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:18)

When we love Christ, we love others.

Verse from Psalm

我要对耶和华说：“你是我的避难所，我的保障，你是我的神，我所倚靠的。”(诗篇 91:2)

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:2)

Verse from Proverbs

秉公行义，比献祭更蒙耶和华悦纳。 (箴言 21:3)

To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. (Proverbs 21:3)

What God wants is obedience, which no amount of offering in forms of money etc can compare to. 

Verse from John

我把这些事告诉你们，是要使你们在我里面有平安。在世上你们有患难，但你们放心，我已经胜了这世界。” (约翰福音 16:33)

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

True peace is not the absence of war; it is the presence of God. 

Verse from Hebrews

你们为人不要贪爱钱财，要以现在所有的为满足；因为神亲自说过：“我决不撇下你，也不离弃你。”(希伯来书 13:5)

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

When Jesus promised He would never leave us alone, He meant in the hard times as well as in the good times. Our mission in the difficult seasons of life is to work or serve remembering we are doing it for God, and then to watch as God works to accomplish His purposes.

Verse from Genesis

后来他从那里迁到伯特利东边的山地，搭起帐棚。西边是伯特利，东边是艾城；他在那里也为耶和华筑了一座祭坛，呼求耶和华的名。 (创世记 12:8)

From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord. (Genesis 12:8)

Many believers long to spend daily time with God, praying and reading His Word. Ironically, they are often distracted by a busy schedule. Frustrations mount as busyness seems to crowd out an opening in their schedule.

If you are having trouble establishing a time with God, you could start with just 5 minutes and see where it leads. Our God longs to meet with us and show His power in our lives.

Verse from Proverbs

人心计划自己的道路， 他的脚步却由耶和华指引。 (箴言 16:9)

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. (Proverbs 16:9)

Verse from Isaiah

他们彼此高呼着说：“圣哉！圣哉！圣哉！万军之耶和华！他的荣光充满全地。”(以赛亚书 6:3)

And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” (Isaiah 6:3)

As we look around us at the nature, take time to admire all His creations, from the morning sky to the different flowers that is surrounding us. Praise Him for His beautiful artwork of nature around us.

Verse from Psalm

人的脚步是耶和华立定的，他的道路也是耶和华喜悦的。

(诗篇37:23)

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; (Psalm 37:23)

God will lead our every step

Verse from Matthew

照样，你们的光也应当照在人前，让他们看见你们的好行为，又颂赞你们在天上的父。(马太福音 5:16)

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

Verse from Lamentations

耶和华的慈爱永不断绝，他的怜悯永不止息。每天早晨都是新的；你的信实多么广大！(耶利米哀歌 3:22, 23)

Because of the Lord ’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22, 23)

Verse from 2 Chronicles

只寻求他父亲的神，遵行神的诫命，没有随从以色列人的行为。(历代志下 17:4)

but sought the God of his father and followed his commands rather than the practices of Israel. (2 Chronicles 17:4)

Today, if you’re looking for a father to follow, remember your heavenly Father and take delight in His ways.

We honor God’s name when we call Him our Father and live like His Son.

Verse from 2 Chronicles

At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him: “Because you relied on the king of Aram and not on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand. For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.” (2 Chronicles 16:7, 9)

Be assured that He delights in showing Himself strong in the challenges of our life. And when He proves His power on our behalf, let’s remember to give Him the glory!

All of God’s promises are backed by His wisdom, love, and power.

When my strength is weak, teach me to trust that Your mighty arm is able to guard, protect, and deliver!

Verse from 1 John

神对我们的爱，我们已经明白了，而且相信了。神就是爱；住在爱里面的，就住在神里面，神也住在他里面。(约翰壹书 4:16)

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. (1 John 4:16)

After we’ve experienced God’s love, we then can learn to give love.

A good plan for our lives today: Receive love. Give love. Repeat.

Verse from 1 Corinthians

我因着神在基督耶稣里赐给你们的恩典，常常为你们感谢我的神，(哥林多前书 1:4)

I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. (1 Corinthians 1:4)

When we see people who are obeying God, let’s take time to affirm them and to thank God for what He’s doing through them.

Verse from Psalm

求你以你的真理引导我，教训我， 因为你是拯救我的神；我整天等候的就是你。(诗篇 25:5)

Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. (Psalm 25:5)

Wanting to be a teachable follower of God, David looked to his Redeemer for direction. His heart’s desire was to wait on God with dependent faith throughout the entire day.

Let Christ be first in your thoughts in the morning, and last in your thoughts at night.

Verse from Daniel

那些有智慧的必发光，好象穹苍的光体；那些使许多人归义的必发光，如同星星，直到永永远远。(但以理书 12:3)

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. (Daniel 12:3)

When we shine the light of Christ in dark places where we live and work, He is lighting up the night sky with stars that never will go out.

Verse from Psalm

耶和华啊！你鉴察了我，你认识我。(诗篇 139:1)

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. (Psalm 139:1)

We can trust our all-knowing God, He knows us even more than we know ourselves.

Verse from 1 Timothy

其实敬虔而又知足，就是得大利的途径，因为我们没有带甚么到世上来，也不能带甚么去。(提摩太前书 6:6, 7)

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. (1 Timothy 6:6, 7)

Verse from Philippians

不要自私自利，也不要贪图虚荣，只要谦卑，看别人比自己强； 各人不要单顾自己的事，也要顾别人的事。 (腓立比书 2:3, 4)

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. (Philippians 2:3, 4)

Verse from Ecclesiastes

他怎样从母胎赤身而来，也必怎样赤身而去；在劳碌中得来的，他的手也带不走甚么。(传道书 5:15)

Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb, and as everyone comes, so they depart. They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands. (Ecclesiastes 5:15)

A reminder to not blindly chase after the things from the world. 

Verse from Colossians

无论你们作甚么，都要从心里去作，像是为主作的，不是为人作的，(歌罗西书 3:23)

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, (Colossians 3:23)

Do your studies/work in ways that will honor God, and not human masters. 

Verse from Exodus

六日要劳碌，作你一切工作。但第七日是耶和华你的神的安息日；这一日，你和你的儿女，你的仆婢和牲畜，以及住在你城里的寄居者，不可作任何的工。(出埃及记 20:9, 10)

Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. (Exodus 20:9, 10)

We are called to slow down, to be refreshed physically, mentally, and emotionally, and to behold God in His good creation. 

Lord, I need spiritual and physical rest. Help me to deliberately take the time to spend with You.

Please remove any obstacle that keeps me from having a more balanced rhythm to my life.

Let us set aside Sunday to not work.
