Verse from John

人若喝我所赐的水，就永远不渴。我所赐的水要在他里面成为涌流的泉源，直涌到永生。”(约翰福音 4:14)

but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:14)

The only real thirst-quencher is Jesus— the living water.

Verse from Psalm

至于我，我要歌颂你的能力，每天早晨我要向你的慈爱欢呼，因为你作了我的高台，在患难的日子，作了我的避难所。(诗篇 59:16)

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. (Psalm 59:16)

Verse from 1 John

不是我们爱神，而是神爱我们，差遣他的儿子为我们的罪作了赎罪祭，这就是爱了。(约翰壹书 4:10)

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (1 John 4:10)

In Him, we discover and experience God’s unconditional, unlimited love.

God’s love in our heart gives us a heart for others.

Verse from Exodus and Psalm

因为耶和华在六日之内造天、地、海和其中的万物，第七日就歇息了；所以耶和华赐福安息日，定为圣日。(出埃及记 20:11)

For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (Exodus 20:11)

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. (Psalm 23:2, 3)

When we rest, we refocus and are refreshed. When we are filling every hour with activity—even with worthwhile things—God often gets our attention by making us “lie down.”

Rest is a gift—a good gift from our Creator who knows exactly what we need.

Verse from Judges and Jeremiah

耶和华对基甸说：“我要用这舔水的三百人拯救你们，把米甸人交在你们的手里，所有其他的人都可以各回自己的地方去。”(士师记 7:7)

The Lord said to Gideon, “With the three hundred men that lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. Let all the others go home.” (Judges 7:7)

“看哪！我是耶和华，是全人类的神；在我有难成的事吗？(耶利米书 32:27)

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27)

Are you facing a formidable challenge?

With God, all things are possible.

Verse from Psalm

耶和华啊！你的慈爱上及诸天，你的信实高达云霄。(诗篇 36:5)

Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. (Psalm 36:5)

Regardless of the circumstances of life—whether in a moment of sanity in a mind otherwise muddled with confusion or during a dark time of trial—God’s love is a beacon of hope, our ever-present, inexhaustible source of strength and confidence.

You are loved with everlasting love.

A healthy church is the best witness to a hurting world.

Verse from Matthew

“不可为自己在地上积聚财宝，因为地上有虫蛀，有锈侵蚀，也有贼挖洞来偷。 要为自己积聚财宝在天上，那里没有虫蛀锈蚀，也没有贼挖洞来偷。 (马太福音 6:19, 20)

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. (Matthew 6:19, 20)

Where do you hide your heart? What we most value is where we will find our heart. So it is an important question. You see, we can treasure riches, control, security, and relationships. Jesus reminds us that it is only by turning loose of the things that most of us keep as our treasures that we find what is truly treasure indeed.

Verse from Matthew

Verse from Psalm

过犯得蒙赦免，罪恶得到遮盖的人，是有福的。(诗篇 32:1)

Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. (Psalm 32:1)

We will experience God’s grace when we confess our sins to Him. He will completely forgive and cover our spiritual sinkholes.

When we uncover our sins in repentance God will cover them.

Verse from Ephesians

凡事谦虚、温柔、忍耐，用爱心彼此宽容；(以弗所书 4:2)

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. (Ephesians 4:2)

Let's learn to be more patient with one another, nobody is perfect. 

Verse from Romans

请你们在主里用合乎圣徒身分的态度去接待她。无论她在甚么事上有需要，请你们都帮助她；因为她曾经帮助许多人，也帮助了我。(罗马书 16:2)

I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of many people, including me. (Romans 16:2)

To some people, the term helper carries with it second-class connotations. Classroom helpers assist trained teachers in their classes. Helpers assist trained electricians, plumbers, and lawyers on the job. Because they aren’t as skilled in the profession, they might be viewed as having less value. But everyone is needed to accomplish the task.

Helping is a spiritual gift, according to 1 Corinthians 12:28. 

Even the Holy Spirit is called a “Helper.” Jesus said, “The Helper, the Holy Spirit, . . . will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (John 14:26).

In whatever ways the Holy Spirit, the Helper, has gifted you, let Him use you for His honor.

Verse from Ecclesiastes

在神面前不可冒失开口，心急发言，因为神在天上，你在地上，所以你的言语要寡少。(传道书 5:2)

Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. (Ecclesiastes 5:2)

Whenever we speak out of fear, anger, ignorance, or pride—even if what we say is true—those who listen will hear more than our words. They hear emotion. But they don’t know whether the emotion comes from love and concern or disdain and disrespect, so we risk misunderstanding. If we listen to ourselves before speaking out loud, we can judge our hearts before our careless words harm others or sadden our God.

Lord, help me to think before I speak, to check my heart. Help me to control my tongue and to express myself clearly so that I won’t cause dissension. Set a guard on my lips.

Words spoken rashly do more harm than good.

Verse from Hebrews

你们要听从那些领导你们的人，也要顺服他们；因为他们为你们的灵魂警醒，好象要交帐的人一样。你们要使他们交帐的时候快快乐乐，不至于叹息；如果他们叹息，对你们就没有好处了。(希伯来书 13:17)

Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you. (Hebrews 13:17)

Verse from Psalm

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:14)

He created us and that itself is a miracle. He made every one of us unique and beautiful in our own ways. 

Verse from John

人为朋友舍命，人间的爱没有比这个更大的了。(约翰福音 15:13)

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 15:13)

Valentine's day speaks about love between couples and friends. Let's be reminded that love originates from God and nothing speaks more clearly of the greatest love that can ever be found - God’s love, than the cross of Jesus.

Verse from Revelation

“你要写信给在撒狄教会的使者，说： ‘那有　神七灵和七星的这样说：我知道你的行为，你有名声，说你是活着的，其实你是死的。(启示录 3:1)

“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. (Revelation 3:1)

The true test of our character is what we do when no one is watching.

Verse from Ephesians

一切苛刻、恼怒、暴戾、嚷闹、毁谤，连同一切恶毒，都应当从你们中间除掉。要互相友爱，存温柔的心，彼此饶恕，就像神在基督里饶恕了你们一样。(以弗所书 4:31, 32)

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31, 32)

Verse from Psalm

至高者 啊！我惧怕的时候， 就要倚靠你。 (诗篇 56:3)

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. (Psalm 56:3)

We serve a God who is mightier than the struggles we inherit and who is full of the desire to forgive, love, and heal the brokenness that rises up between us and Him. God is present in the places where our fears live.

Verse from Psalm

Verse from Hebrews

因为我们的大祭司并不是不能同情我们的软弱，他像我们一样，也曾在各方面受过试探，只是他没有犯罪。(希伯来书 4:15)

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15)

Jesus is the high priest as seen in the verse. He understands what we are going through. 

Verse from Matthew

照样，你们的光也应当照在人前，让他们看见你们的好行为，又颂赞你们在天上的父。(马太福音 5:16)

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

When others look at our life, it is more important that they see God—not us.

Verse from Psalm

至于我，我却要求告神，耶和华就必拯救我。无论在晚上、早晨或中午, 我都哀诉唉哼；他必听我的声音。(诗篇 55:16, 17)

As for me, I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice. (Psalm 55:16, 17)

What we know of God encourages us to trust Him in all we do not know.

Verse from 1 John

凡有世上财物的，看见弟兄穷乏，却硬着心肠不理，他怎能说他心里有神的爱呢？孩子们，我们爱人，不要只在言语和舌头上，总要在行动和真诚上表现出来。(约翰壹书 3:17, 18)

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:17, 18)

Verse from Romans

所以，我们不要再彼此批评了；倒要立定主意，决不作绊倒弟兄或使他跌倒的事。 (罗马书 14:13)

Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. (Romans 14:13)

Verse from James

弟兄们，不要互相毁谤；人若毁谤弟兄，或判断弟兄，就是毁谤律法、判断律法了。如果你判断律法，就不是实行律法的人，而是审判官了。 (雅各书 4:11)

Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. (James 4:11)

A reminder to keep our tongues in check 

Verse from 1 Samuel

原来哈拿是在心中诉说，只见她的嘴唇在动，却听不见她的声音，因此以利以为她是个喝醉了的女人。(撒母耳记上 1:13)

Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk (1 Samuel 1:13)

We can submit our prayer requests to God not just by speech, we can also pray silently.
