We can trust our all-knowing God, He knows us even more than we know ourselves.

Verse from 1 Peter

像初生婴孩爱慕那纯净的灵奶，好叫你们靠它长大，进入救恩； 彼得前书 2:2)

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, (1 Peter 2:2)

Let us always yearn/long for His words!

Verse from 1 Timothy

其实敬虔而又知足，就是得大利的途径，因为我们没有带甚么到世上来，也不能带甚么去。(提摩太前书 6:6, 7)

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. (1 Timothy 6:6, 7)

Verse from Philippians

不要自私自利，也不要贪图虚荣，只要谦卑，看别人比自己强； 各人不要单顾自己的事，也要顾别人的事。 (腓立比书 2:3, 4)

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. (Philippians 2:3, 4)

Verse from Ecclesiastes

他怎样从母胎赤身而来，也必怎样赤身而去；在劳碌中得来的，他的手也带不走甚么。(传道书 5:15)

Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb, and as everyone comes, so they depart. They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands. (Ecclesiastes 5:15)

A reminder to not blindly chase after the things from the world. 

Verse from Colossians

无论你们作甚么，都要从心里去作，像是为主作的，不是为人作的，(歌罗西书 3:23)

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, (Colossians 3:23)

Do your studies/work in ways that will honor God, and not human masters. 

Verse from Exodus

六日要劳碌，作你一切工作。但第七日是耶和华你的神的安息日；这一日，你和你的儿女，你的仆婢和牲畜，以及住在你城里的寄居者，不可作任何的工。(出埃及记 20:9, 10)

Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. (Exodus 20:9, 10)

We are called to slow down, to be refreshed physically, mentally, and emotionally, and to behold God in His good creation. 

Lord, I need spiritual and physical rest. Help me to deliberately take the time to spend with You.

Please remove any obstacle that keeps me from having a more balanced rhythm to my life.

Let us set aside Sunday to not work.
