Verse from Hebrews

因为我们的大祭司并不是不能同情我们的软弱，他像我们一样，也曾在各方面受过试探，只是他没有犯罪。(希伯来书 4:15)

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15)

Jesus is the high priest as seen in the verse. He understands what we are going through. 

Verse from Matthew

照样，你们的光也应当照在人前，让他们看见你们的好行为，又颂赞你们在天上的父。(马太福音 5:16)

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

When others look at our life, it is more important that they see God—not us.

Verse from Psalm

至于我，我却要求告神，耶和华就必拯救我。无论在晚上、早晨或中午, 我都哀诉唉哼；他必听我的声音。(诗篇 55:16, 17)

As for me, I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice. (Psalm 55:16, 17)

What we know of God encourages us to trust Him in all we do not know.

Verse from 1 John

凡有世上财物的，看见弟兄穷乏，却硬着心肠不理，他怎能说他心里有神的爱呢？孩子们，我们爱人，不要只在言语和舌头上，总要在行动和真诚上表现出来。(约翰壹书 3:17, 18)

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:17, 18)

Verse from Romans

所以，我们不要再彼此批评了；倒要立定主意，决不作绊倒弟兄或使他跌倒的事。 (罗马书 14:13)

Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. (Romans 14:13)

Verse from James

弟兄们，不要互相毁谤；人若毁谤弟兄，或判断弟兄，就是毁谤律法、判断律法了。如果你判断律法，就不是实行律法的人，而是审判官了。 (雅各书 4:11)

Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. (James 4:11)

A reminder to keep our tongues in check 

Verse from 1 Samuel

原来哈拿是在心中诉说，只见她的嘴唇在动，却听不见她的声音，因此以利以为她是个喝醉了的女人。(撒母耳记上 1:13)

Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk (1 Samuel 1:13)

We can submit our prayer requests to God not just by speech, we can also pray silently.
