主决不耽延他的应许,像有些人以为他是耽延的一样;其实他是宽容你们,不愿有一人灭亡,却愿人人都悔改。(彼得后书 3:9)
God patiently waits for people to come to know Him. However, someday Jesus will return and “the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat” (2 Peter 3:10). When this happens, or when our physical bodies die, it will be too late to establish a relationship with God.
If you have delayed deciding to follow Christ, there is good news—you can still commit yourself to Him. “If you declare with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom. 10:9 niv). He is calling. Will you run in His direction?
Following Him means to love Him wholeheartedly, leaving no room to worship idols or other gods in this world, leaving no room for following what the world is going after: lust, sexual immorality, greed, vanity, power and so on. Are you ready to follow Him and run to Him before it's too late?
